Kunekunes are a rare and wonderful heritage breed of pigs known for their gentle nature, unique appearance, and sustainable grazing habits. They make great pets, and also can be grown out for meat entirely on pasture. 

Why Kunekune Pigs?

We chose to raise Kunekunes because they are the only pig breed that can truly thrive on a grass-fed diet. On our pastures, our pigs enjoy a natural lifestyle grazing on fresh grass, with no supplemental grains except for small amounts during the winter months when grazing options are limited.

Unlike other pigs, Kunekunes are known for their non-rooting behavior, which makes them ideal for cohabitating with other animals on the pasture without damaging the soil. 

Family-Friendly and Farm-Ready

Kunekune pigs are also exceptionally friendly and approachable. Their calm, social personalities and manageable size make them a fantastic choice for families, hobby farms, or educational programs. They are also far smaller than most other pigs, making them much safer for children.

We occasionally have Kunekune pigs for sale to farms interested in sustainable farming, breeding programs, or simply enjoying these delightful animals as pasture pets.
