Chinese Painted Quail are a small, ornamental ground-dwelling species of quail often kept in aviaries for their active behaviour and decorative value. Also known as King Quail or Button Quail, these birds are easy to care for, require very little space, and are extremely entertaining to watch. With frequent handling, they can become quite tame.
We raise a variety of colours, including White, Silver, Pied, and Asian Blue. These birds are commonly kept in mixed aviaries or in pairs and trios, and do well on solid flooring with clean bedding and access to dry hiding areas.
While some hens will brood, artificial incubation is commonly used to ensure hatch success.
Only juveniles and adults are offered, depending on availability.
