Welsh Harlequin Ducks
A lightweight breed developed from Khaki Campbells, Welsh Harlequins are known for their outstanding laying ability and calm temperament. These birds consistently produce 290–320 eggs in their first year, placing them among the top performers for egg production. They are also excellent dual-purpose birds, offering both productivity and table quality without sacrificing manageability.
The Welsh Harlequin ducklings are autosexable at hatch with ~95% accuracy by bill colour — females have a lighter bill with a dark tip, while males have a uniformly dark bill. This trait is one of the biggest perks of this breed, and is part of what makes them so popular.
