The Yoo Zoo’s Hatching Eggsperience includes everything you need to incubate, hatch, and care for chicks or ducklings during their first week of life. It’s an engaging way to explore biology, responsibility, and animal care — suitable for children and adults alike.
What’s Included
For a one-time cost of $195 for chicks or $250 for ducklings, your Hatching Eggsperience kit includes:
- A clear-top incubator for easy observation
- An egg candler to view embryo development
- A brooder setup with heat plate or bulb
- Feeder and waterer
- A small starter bag of feed
- 12 fertilized eggs (chicken or duck)
- A printed step-by-step hatching guide
All supplies are pickup and return only from the farm — no shipping involved.
How It Works
- Pickup your kit and eggs from our farm in Grand Valley, Ontario
- Monitor temperature and humidity in the incubator
- Use the candler to check egg development
- Transfer chicks or ducklings to the brooder after hatch
- Feed and care for them for one week
- Return the birds and equipment to The Yoo Zoo
